Partners, Miguel de la O and Daniel Leyton, successfully defended an appeal to the Third DCA in Defense Control USA v. Atlantis Consultants. Miguel and Dan defeated the defendant's motion to dismiss before the trial court. The defendant appeal, but the Third DCA affirmed the trial judge's ruling denying the motion to dismiss. Joel Magolnick quoted in New Story about Child Abuse at Camp Tracey Children’s Home
An employee of a home for troubled youths has been arrested on child abuse charges. Joel Magolnick has previously sued the home, Camp Tracey Children’s Home, on behalf of clients who were sexually abused years ago. With the new arrests bringing attention again to charges of sexual abuse at Camp Tracey over the years, the Florida Times—Union quoted Mr. Magolnick in its story about Camp Tracey. According to the article, “Camp Tracey Children’s Home was started in 1982 by Rev. Wilford McCormick under the auspices of Harvest Baptist Church in Jacksonville.” You can read the news story here.
